Anthony V. Avallone

Anthony V. Avallone is a self-employed attorney and lobbyist with offices in New Haven and Milford, Connecticut. Since 1993, Mr. Avallone has been the General Counsel and Lobbyist to Manufacturing Alliance of Connecticut, Inc. As Counsel and Lobbyist to the manufacturing association, he was involved in the energy deregulation legislation, and has dealt with healthcare/managed care issues from a legal and legislative standpoint, as well as working with members of the manufacturing group on these issues as they affect their businesses and their employees.

Attorney Avallone also served in the Connecticut General Assembly as State Senator from 1983 – 1993. In that capacity, he served as chairman of the Judiciary Committee, chairman of the Commerce and Exportation Committee. He also served as Assistant Majority Leader, and was chairman of the Sub-Committee on Bonding. During his tenure, he also was Chairman of the Public Safety Committee and Vice-Chairman of the Banks Committee and served as a member of the Regulations Review Committee and as a member of the Planning and Development Committee. He is also a member of the Democratic National Committee representing Connecticut.

Attorney Avallone is also a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and American Bar Association and The American Trial Lawyer’s Association. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Connecticut and from Suffolk University School of Law with a Juris Doctorate.

Attorney Avallone is the Vice President of the Board of Directors for Boys & Girls Village, Inc. He has served as the Chairman of the New Haven Economic Development Commission, the director of the New Haven Development Corporation and the Chairman of Southern Connecticut State University Foundation, Inc.

Attorney Avallone is married and lives in New Haven with his wife, Patti, and their two sons, Brian Anthony and Jonathan Douglas.
